The UMW is extremely active in missions, fundraising, and community outreach. They meet monthly (second Tuesday @ 7pm) with an open invitation to all the ladies in the church. Annual fundraising includes a fall/holiday bazaar, chocolate Easter eggs, breakfast and yard sales. Shoe Boxes were delivered November 16th. Thank you to everyone who participated in this mission project. Ongoing community outreach is demonstrated in a care package that is prepared and delivered to a homebound person a monthly basis. Additionally, a heating fuel assistance fund was started to help offset some of the increased costs of warming homes this winter.

United Methodist Youth:
KIDS’s Church meets twice a month on Sunday afternoons at 4 p.m.

Recently, the UMY went to Linville Caverns and enjoyed lunch at the Linville Falls picnic area.
A trip is planned for the 13th of December to see a movie and lights at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center in Morganton.

Vacation Bible School
2008 VeggieTales VBS Calling All Heroes was a blast!!! Kids learned about the great Bible Heroes Moses, Gideon, Paul, Peter, and Jesus.

Music
Everyone is invited to join the Choir. We practice on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and always enjoy fellowship with one another.
